Terms of Service

By accessing or using OpenBSIS ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

OpenBSIS provides access to structured financial data sourced from public regulatory filings published by the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI). The Service includes data visualization, analysis tools, and export functionality.

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use automated systems to scrape or extract data beyond normal usage
• Redistribute or resell the Service or data without authorization

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by OpenBSIS and is protected by intellectual property laws. The underlying financial data is sourced from public OSFI filings but our presentation, analysis tools, and user interface remain our property.

While we strive for accuracy, the data provided through OpenBSIS is sourced from public regulatory filings and is provided "as is." We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data. Users should verify critical information independently. See our Data Disclaimer for more details.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenBSIS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

The Service is currently free to use. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future, in which case users will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any pricing changes affecting their account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
